  • What scholastic requirements are necessary for first time applicants?

    First time applicants must have graduated from high school or equivalent, i.e. GED.

  • What are the minimum credit hours required to obtain a scholarship grant?

    A student must be considered a full time student (12 credit hours per semester) by the school.

  • Must an application for scholarship funds be submitted each year?

    Yes, each applicant is required to submit an application for each new scholastic year.

  • What is the application deadline?

    Applications must be postmarked no later than June 30.  Freshman applicants must include OFFICIAL high school transcripts which may be incomplete if school year not ended.

  • Is there a priority to those receiving a scholarship grant?

    Students receiving scholarship grants will be based on financial need, academic performance, community service and Foundation funds available. 

  • When are school transcripts due to the Scholarship Foundation for the fall semester?

    Transcripts for the fall semester must be postmarked no later than January 31.

  • What is necessary for submitting class transcripts?

    Class transcripts can be submitted by mail or email and must include the student's name and last 4 digits of their social security number.  Freshman applicant must include OFFICIAL high school transcripts which may be incomplete if school year has not ended.

  • What if my application is not received by the required deadline?

    The applicant will not qualify to receive a scholarship grant for that semester.  If the applicant wishes, the application can be applied for consideration for the following semester. 

  • When are scholarship grants awarded?

    The Board of Trustees meet to award scholarship grants by mid-August for the upcoming scholastic year.  Grant monies are mailed shortly thereafter for the fall semester.  The spring semester grant monies are mailed the first week of February (trustees must receive transcripts by January 31).

  • What amount of money can I expect from a scholarship grant?

    Scholarship grants generally are approximately $1,000.

  • What if I fail to enroll for college or not meet the minimum credit hour requirement?

    If you do not enroll for college or meet the required semester hours after receiving a scholarship grant, you must notify the scholarship foundation and are required to return the grant monies.
